Product range

Eight categories — one stockist.

Buyers choosing across alloy, tool, die, carbon and engineering steel usually end up dealing with three or four different sources. We hold the working range under one roof so you don't have to.

Cr-Mo · Ni-Cr-Mo · Mn-Cr

Alloy Steel

Through-hardening and case-hardening alloy grades — the workhorse range for high-tensile shafts, gears, bearings and crankshafts. Chromium, nickel and molybdenum content unlocks strength, toughness and hardenability well beyond plain carbon steel.

Available forms
Round Square Hex Flat Forged
Cold-work · shock-resisting

Tool Steel

Cold-work and shock-resisting tool steels for blanking, forming, cutting and impact tooling. High-carbon high-chromium grades for wear resistance, plus shock-resisting grades for tools that take repeated hammering without chipping.

Grades stocked
Typical uses
Blanking dies Forming dies Punches Shear blades Cutting tools
Hot-work · plastic mould · die block

Die Steel

Mould and die steels engineered for hot work, plastic moulding and high-impact die forging. Includes pre-hardened plastic-mould steel (P20), the industry-standard hot-work pair H11 and H13, and the heavy-duty Ni-Cr-Mo-V die-block steel DB6 for forging dies.

Typical uses
Plastic moulds Die-casting dies Forging dies Hot-extrusion tooling
Medium-carbon engineering

Carbon Steel

Medium-carbon engineering steels — the dependable, cost-effective backbone of general engineering. More strength and wear resistance than mild steel, with clean machinability and the ability to take surface hardening for wear-resistant components.

Engineering Steel

"Engineering steel" covers the broad family of carbon and alloy steels used to make machined and load-bearing components — from general shafts to high-tensile gears. We carry the complete working range, so design engineers and machine shops can source everything from one reliable stockist.

Available forms
Round Square Hex Flat Forged
Large-section · UT-tested

Forged Round Bars

Forged round bar up to large diameters across our alloy and tool steel grades. Forging refines the grain structure and closes internal voids, which makes it the right choice for large-section and highly stressed components — and exactly the material that benefits most from our ASTM A388 ultrasonic examination.

Low-carbon · available on request

Mild Steel

General-purpose mild steel — the easily welded, economical material used across fabrication, structural and low-stress engineering work. Available on request alongside our core alloy, tool and carbon stock. Where parts need more strength or hardness than mild steel offers, we'll recommend a medium-carbon grade like EN8 or C45.

Silver Steel

Precision-ground high-carbon silver steel rod — bright bar held to a close diameter tolerance, ready for small tools, pins, spindles and instrument parts. Saves machining where an accurate, ready-to-use bright bar makes more sense than turning down a black bar. Available on request alongside our tool and die range.

How we supply

Five services on the same yard.

Stock alone isn't a service — what turns ready stock into a useful product is testing, cutting, paperwork and dispatch, done under one roof so your order doesn't wait on a third party.

01

Deep ready stock

400+ tonnes held across alloy, carbon, tool and die steel grades in round, square, hex and flat bar. Common grades and sizes dispatched the same week.

8 categories · 20+ grades · 400+ T
02

In-house ultrasonic testing

Pulse-echo ultrasonic examination to ASTM A388 on our own equipment, under ASNT Level II competence. Internal soundness verified before dispatch — not after.

03

Precision cutting

Round, square and hex cut to exact dispatch sizes on five automatic CNC band saws, with cutting capacity up to 600 mm. Bars arrive ready for production, not for the saw shop.

Product FAQ

What buyers usually ask.

What steel products do you stock?

Saroj Enterprise stocks eight product categories: alloy steel, tool steel, die steel, carbon steel, engineering steel, forged round bars, mild steel and silver steel — across more than twenty grades, in round, square, hex and flat bar. Total ready stock is 400+ tonnes. For specifics on any grade, see the steel grades reference.

What forms and sizes do you supply?

Round bars Ø 16 – 460 mm, square bars 20 – 300 mm, hex bars 16 – 110 mm, flats 6 – 50 mm × 25 – 300 mm, plus large-diameter forged round bars. We cut to size on five automatic CNC saws up to a cutting capacity of 600 mm. Other sizes are available on request.

Do you supply with test certificates?

Yes — always, with no extra request. Every consignment ships with a Material Test Certificate (chemical composition and mechanical properties) and a UT pass report covering ultrasonic examination to ASTM A388. Both documents are keyed to the heat number, giving full traceability. See the Quality & Testing page for the full process.

Can you cut bars to my exact dispatch size?

Yes — this is one of our core services. We cut round, square and hex bars to your required sizes on five automatic CNC band saws, up to a cutting capacity of 600 mm. Mention the lengths or cut pieces you need with your inquiry and we'll quote cut-and-supply together.

What is the difference between tool steel and die steel?

The distinction is by use. Tool steel in our range covers cold-work and shock-resisting grades (D2, D3, S7, OHNS) used for cutting, blanking, forming and impact tooling. Die steel covers hot-work and plastic-mould grades (P20, H11, H13, DB6) for die-casting, forging dies and injection moulds. The two groups overlap in practice; we keep them separate because that's how buyers search.

Can I order multiple grades on one consignment?

Yes — and most of our customers do. You can combine carbon, alloy, tool and die steel from across our range on a single order, each cut to your sizes, with combined MTC + UT documentation. Saves you running multiple POs across multiple suppliers.

Do you supply outside Gujarat?

Yes. We dispatch across Gujarat in our own vehicles and supply industrial customers throughout India by road transport. Tell us the delivery location in your inquiry and we'll factor logistics into the quotation.
